The F1 entry includes a double figured entry of Star Grade Drivers including local Superstar 16 Matt Newson who will be full of confidence following his final victory at Belle Vue a week ago. Also in action are fellow superstars 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr and 2 Paul Harrison who will be making his first appearance of the season.

55 Craig Finnikin currently leads the F1 points and he will be looking to continue the great form he has shown this season whilst 4 Dan Johnson, 259 Paul Hines, 84 Tom Harris and 380 Steve Cayzer are all amongst those likely to be in the hunt for major honours.

There will be plenty for F1 fans to enjoy with 5 races on the programme with the meeting kicking of with the traditional White & Yellows Race before 4 “all in” races – and with a double figured entry of stars programmed for each of them there should be plenty to keep fans amused!

Coventry pre-meeting problems for Murray Harrison 97 meant a starter motor needed to be replaced with the gearbox having to come out for access, and on doing so, swung round and snapped the throttle cable meaning it was all hands on deck to get the car ready for action.
