Paul Hines (#259)
Mini Biography
One of the most approachable drivers in the sport, Paul has developed into one of the most dedicated drivers around. Attending as many (if not all) the meetings on the fixture list as possible, and he is always ready to help promote the sport with TV appearances and demonstration events. In the latter stages of 2010 Paul made an appearance at the Birmingham NEC alongside Monster Jam and in May 2011 Paul made history by being the very first BriSCA F1 stock car driver to race on the Isle of Man at Onchan Raceway.
His career started later than many of his peers, never having the opportunity to race the National Ministox (for racers aged 16 or under), Paul began his career in the V8 Hotstox formula. After proving himself in the Hotstox, his break into F1′s came when his Father Derek, decided to put Paul in the hot seat. Success followed swiftly and Paul has now become a permanent fixture amongst the top graded ‘Superstar’ drivers. In 2005 he bagged his first major win by taking the European Championship and in 2010 he won the British Championship in fine style.
His driving style is one of precision, preferring to race his rivals rather than hammering them into submission, but he is certainly not afraid to throw his weight around when needed.
