With a plethora of major events on tarmac tracks over the last few weeks and the alternative attraction of racing on the new Venray speedway in the Netherlands it was no great surprise when just 22 Formula one stockcars arrived at sunny Skegness.

BriSCA F1 stock car Semi finals can sometimes be processional affairs but this was not to be the case at Skegness with the on track action taking place at both ends.

Skegness was bathed in sub tropical sunshine on Saturday. The pits were also full with masses of cars all ready to do battle in what is often the best all contact weekend of the season.
