The 2nd October saw the annual running of the 2011 Sint Maarten Dutch Open, postponed since August due to wet weather.
Anyone planning on going over to the Netherlands for the Dutch Open at Sint Maartin this weekend (August 14th 2011), please note the meeting has unfortunately had to be canceled due to heavy rain.

The 8th of May saw great weather for the second meeting promoted by the ACON at Sint Maarten. With hardly any rain in the last weeks and temperatures of around 27 degrees Celsius, the track was as hard as tarmac. With 56 drivers there would be 6 heats and a final, with each competitor taking part in 3 heats.

The Dutch Open Championship was staged at Sint Maarten Raceway on Sunday 8th August, where veteran racer Fred Hink (35) reclaimed the title that he had previously won in 2001.
