With the final episode of the BBC’s BriSCA F1 Stockcar programme Gears and Tears aired, the Smiths and Wainmans have vowed to put aside their rivalry… for one day only!

Danny Wainman and Stuart Smith Jnr will work together in the Celebrity Karting Challenge at the Autosport International show, as part of the Gears and Tears race team.

The annual event, which will be held on Thursday 13 January 2011, offers the public a chance to get behind the wheel to compete alongside some of motorsport’s best drivers, with proceeds going to charity. This year’s main beneficiary will be Starlight, which grants wishes to children with serious and terminal illnesses.
