New Zealand’s World 240s Championship 2011
The World 240s held at New Zealand’s Rotorua Speedway has seen Peter Rees (3NZ) win the coveted World Superstock Championship title. After the three races, a run off was required between Rees and joint top point scorer Scott Joblin (2NZ) with the pair having both scored 66 points. Of the Overseas drivers, Frankie Wainman jnr (55r) was the most successful, coming home in a commendable seventh place with 56 points.
Tom Harris (GB84) finished all his races and scored 29 points, Craig Finnikin (GB559) scored 14 points in his first outing but then got a dnf in his second and failed to start his third race. Mick Harris (GB8) was unfortunate enough to not finish his first race and then failed to start either of his other races.
