Press Release

There will be two grandstands, almost identical to those for the 2005 World Final.

Grandstand 1 will be adjacent to Race Control and towards turn one, with a total capacity of 936 seats. There will be standing room in front of the grandstand too, as the first couple of rows of the grandstand will not actually have seats fitted, so the first proper row of seats will have a viewing eye-line above the standing public at the front.

Grandstand 2 will be on the Back Straight from the exit of turn 2 and towards the Pit Gate, with a total capacity of 1024 seats. This will be sited as before actually in the Pits, so will not compromise or affect the standing areas on the back straight – the first row will be above the current fence line.

Depending upon the take-up of these seats in advance, there may be additional seating available on turns 1 and 2.

There will be no reserved seating, however you will purchase tickets for a specific stand and within each stand a specific block – you may then sit anywhere within that block of seats on a first come, first served basis. Grandstand Stewards will be in operation to ensure that single seats are not left unoccupied.

Grandstand 1 (Home Straight) will have blocks A, B, C and D running from Race Control towards turn 1

Grandstand 2 (Back Straight) will have blocks E, F, G, H and J running from turn 2 towards the Pit Gate.

Prices for Grandstand seating is £10 per seat for Saturday and £5 for Sunday.

Grandstand 1 will also be available on Friday, but this will be payable on the day.

Please note that despite the Grandstand seating, portable seating (picnic chairs, etc), will not be allowed in the stadium on World Final day.

Please also note that the purchase of a seat does not affect the cost of admission; this remains as is.

All F1 World Final Weekend tickets will be on sale at the European Weekend at Northampton next weekend.

Following that you may purchase your World Final Seating and admission tickets via our Birmingham Office; please ring 0121-357 7328 to secure your seat.
