BOSS Awards Night 2009

The Bradford Odsal Stock Car Supporters Club (BOSS) held their annual award night and dinner dance on the 6th March in Bradford. Stu Smith snr made all the presentations.

The Boss Track Championship is run over twelve rounds, consisting of six shale and six tarmac meetings. The top ten point scorers over these meetings all receive prize money courtesy of BOSS.

An explosive start to the meeting when James Morris (463) impacted the home straight fence after a couple of laps of Heat 1, before slewing across the track and being hit by Mark Gilbank (21), who then collided with Scott Davids (462) before the pair of them came to a dead stop in the turn one fence.

Coventry pre-meeting problems for Murray Harrison 97 meant a starter motor needed to be replaced with the gearbox having to come out for access, and on doing so, swung round and snapped the throttle cable meaning it was all hands on deck to get the car ready for action.
