The World Masters meeting saw Lee Fairhurst now renumbered back to 217 and sporting the white and black checked aerofoil of British Champion. It certainly didn’t slow him down any, as he romped away to a Consolation and Final double.

The heats went to Ed Neachell and Mike James, with Mick Sworder taking the Grand National.
