John Lund had a flat tyre in his heat, so he "qualified" for the consolation. His tarmac car was showing some pace at last.

A white top winner in the consolation Peter Hobbs (108).  Pete is a bit of a Northampton specialist , he was very good around Brafield when he raced F2 stock cars.
