The first Shootout round of 2012 took place at Birmingham Wheels with Tom Harris 84 displaying the Gold Cup he won at Venray before going on to win the final and take the top spot of the twelve Shootout competitors. Dan Johnson 4 also had a good points haul moving him into third behind Heat winner Frankie Wainman jnr 515. New Zealand drivers Joe Faram NZ1 and Andy McCabe NZ31 were also present getting to grips with BriSCA F1 Stockcar racing in time for the Skegness world final. Another driver making the switch from f2 to the big league, was Shaun Blakemore 221 (ex-f2 955).
