Colin Moss is a long time BriSCA F1 Stock Car fan who runs a rather unique website which catalogues the history of the sport through driver tributes and pictures of his own hand made models of their cars.
The website can be found at: http://www.mossmodels.co.uk/index.htm
Now Colin has turned his hand to providing a detailed and occasionally personal account of the sport through it’s first 60 years in a book he has written entitled Celebrating F1 Stock Car Racing’s Diamond Jubilee 1954-2014
Colin himself describes the book…
As a spectator and avid fan since the late 1960s, I wanted to record in some way the longevity of this remarkably addictive sport and attempt to trace its progress from the stripped down road cars of the 1950s to the thoroughbred racing machines of the present day, and the result was this book.
There are facts, legends, stars and personalities of stock car racing and a miscellany of nostalgia together with a glimpse into the future. It is Standard Portrait size (20x25cms) and runs to 124 pages with over 250 pictures – all in full colour.
The book is available to buy in a number of formats (including e-book for iPads & other Apple devices) from the Blurb book store and a preview of the first dozen pages can be viewed below.
