Paul Tully Set To Cycle 100 Miles!

Paul is currently undergoing a painstaking training regime as he and 10 other cyclists will be embarking on a gruelling 100 mile cycle ride from Leicestershire to Skegness, for Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Campaign.

Members of the team were inspired to do the cycle ride for Cancer Research UK as the group have been affected by cancer in many different ways. The group is made up of colleagues from Tarmac UK and friends.

The cycle ride is scheduled to take place on Sunday 27th June and should take approximately 8-9 hours, weather and bikes permitting the riders want to raise as much money for Cancer Research UK as possible.

Debbie Fitzgerald, Area Volunteer Manager for Cancer Research UK said: “It’s an absolute inspiration to meet such committed people who want to react so positively with a huge physical challenge to counter the difficult experiences they have had through seeing loved ones with cancer”.

Any people who want to support Paul and the team can do so by visiting their just giving site www.justgiving.com/100mile-bike-ride-to-skegness-in-aid-of-cancer-research or by completing the sponsorship forms that he will have with him over the next few weeks

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to research on the
Causes prevention and treatment of cancer and is the largest single funder of cancer research in the UK. The charity supports research in all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses in more than 30 towns and cities across the UK, including Leicester.
Today more than 1 in 3 people in the UK will develop cancer at some point in their life, but thanks to research deaths from cancer have fallen by 12% over the past decade.

Thank you for your support
