Feite van der Veen (H124) F1 Stockcar build
With the Netherlands now having more registered F1 Stockcar drivers than the UK, our thanks go to Dutch racer Feite van der Veen (H124) for sending us some photos of his brand new stockcar build. The car’s debut will be at St Maarten on the 24th April at a Dutch World Championship qualifier, and will also be seen racing at Blauwhuis and Emmen throughout the season. In addition to this, the team hope to fit in a trip overseas, to race in England.
Feite originally used to race in the FAC (Friese Autocross Club) Standard class before moving on to F1 Stockcars. He bought a car from Texel and in the 2006 season reached blue grade. He also raced in 2007 but sold his car at the end of the season to Jouke Stapert (H353) who used it to win several races including a final. Since then, Feite has been working as the Secretary for the Dutch FAC racing organisation, but is now returning trackside.
The car was designed and engineered by Feite himself with the car being built thanks to the invaluable help of Oscar Poelstra, Bertus de Boer and Kees Stielstra. Once the build was completed, the car was finished with a paint job by Heins from Blauwhuis and the signwriting completed by Douwe de Haan Signs creating a stunning looking F1 stockcar. The engine was build by Sybren Hoekstra racing engines and is a chevy small block 441 ci.
F1Stockcars.com wishes Feite and his team every success with their new stockcar.
