Emmen (Holland) – April 2nd 2011
In his thirtieth year of stock car photography, Tonny Wissing shares some photos and information from the opening Emmen meeting of 2011.
Saturday 2nd April was a very nice day with good weather for Emmen Speedway to host the first formula 1 stock car race of the 2011 season in Holland. This was also the start of the fourth year of Emmen Speedway.
The organization have learnt a lot in these four years and the track was in very good condition. Today also marked Ron Kroonder’s (H217) 25th season.
There were 37 stock cars coming out of the garage for this first meeting, and a lot of work had been done over the winter off season:
Two Great new stockcars for #59 Wim Boere and for #151 Marco Falkena.
The car of Ron Kroonder Big Deal team was back in the old Speedy colors. Red with Yellow and Black, and very good sign work from Dan Kleyn.
But also #502 Bauke Vissers; #16 John vāt Veer Jr; #399 Jessy de Bruin:
#65 Hans Beagen and #84 Mark Woudenberg have new color schemes.
Sjaak Kentie #179 and Kobus Dijkstra now #527 (was 9) have other stockcars.

New driver #232 Hein Dijkstra make a roll over in his second race/manche. The Final was too short for Ron Kroonder, Rutger Valk was to far a way for him. Also a very good driving from #55 Peter Ruig and #228 Jan Roelof Wijbenga.
