The 3mm rear plate behind the seat has been cut and welded in

The pedal boxes have been fabricated and tacked in

The rear axle has been fitted so the damper mounts can be fabricated and welded in place

The damper mount

Dad (Dave) has fabricated the battery box

The bumpers and nerfs are on and the chassis is rotated for welding underneath

One of the new shale wings that Dad (Dave) has fabricated (see part 3) is fitted so the wing mounts can be fabricated

The bonnet top has been fashioned out of aluminium

Dave has refurbished the rear axle

The 6 stud transit front hub

Five of the holes are welded up

The hub is re-drilled to suit LD wheel centres and the wheel studs are pressed in, plus a coat of primer

Coventry pre-meeting problems for Murray Harrison 97 meant a starter motor needed to be replaced with the gearbox having to come out for access, and on doing so, swung round and snapped the throttle cable meaning it was all hands on deck to get the car ready for action.
