Superstitions at the Race Track / Garage: Always get in and out of the car on the left hand side

If you could change one thing in racing, What would you change: Increase TV and Media coverage – make it a global brand like NASCAR

What is the most underrated thing in racing: The whole sport of BriSCA F1 in general, plus how awesome they are to drive and the skill involved

What is the most overrated thing in racing: How much money gets spent. Apart from the initial outlay it’s not as expensive as most folk think.

Years Racing: 23 – Mini’s, Spedeworth Superstox, BriSCA F2 and F1 and one night in a National Hot Rod…

Final Wins: Around 110 in F2 and F1 combined

Most memorable racing moment: Winning the F2 British at Mildenhall. This was better than my F1 Euro win and the F2 World Final

Most forgettable racing moment: Taking an enormous dive at Simon Panton many years ago at Skegness and missing (in a big way). I wrecked my 1300 F2 and never heard the end of it from Dad !!

Future racing plans: Carry on in BriSCA F1 until I stop enjoying it. I also aim to see my Son, Charlie race in BriSCA ministox this year, so will mainly concentrate my efforts on him

If you wasn’t racing you’d do be doing what: Either in prison or six feet under !! Lots of my old mates from school had nothing to do with their lives and went the ‘wrong way’. I’m lucky i’ve always had stock cars in my life and have had someting to focus on.

Racing Idols: Nigel Mansell

Favourite Track: Brafield (NIR)

Engine Builder: ‘No Comment’

Chassis Builder: Team Smith Motorsport

I’m sorry if i’ve missed anything out – and thanks to everyone who has helped me over the years…
