King’s Lynn’s second BriSCA F1 meeting of the season was staged in distinctly autumnal conditions with a cold wind and persistant rain providing a testing backdrop for the officials and raceteams that had converged on the Norfolk Arena.

Hi – My name is Alan Lord . In the late 1970’s and early 80’s I was involved in coverage of the sport of Formula 1 stock car racing in the Daily Mirror, mainly in the northern editions. Within this article I recall how it happened and include some memories from those reporting days.
