BOSS is the oldest remaining F1 Stock Car Fan Club and remains active with it’s BOSS Track Championship.
Buxton often manages to encompass four seasons into one day and their 2nd meeting of the year was no exception.
Top BriSCA F1 stockcar photographer Paul Tully covered the progress of TEAM GB throughout the New Zealand Team Champs 2011 and has released a pictorial record of the occasion.
With the European weekend in July and the World Final weekend in September also on the fixture list, Northampton staged the first of its big BriSCA F1 meetings in 2011 with the WCQR attracting a decent number of cars to the South Midlands venue.
It was a tough decision to leave the Umbrella in the car on arrival at Skegness as dark clouds hovered, but the risk was worth taking and sure enough was rewarded with an action packed afternoon’s entertainment.
The lively Saturday night of the Skegness UK Open speedweekend bodes well for another entertaining Skegness Semi final later in the year. Tom Harris (84) was on song for the WCQR event, sweeping all before him to take the Mo Jones Memorial final in splendid style with the 84 tar car definitely being the one to watch.
The 8th of May saw great weather for the second meeting promoted by the ACON at Sint Maarten. With hardly any rain in the last weeks and temperatures of around 27 degrees Celsius, the track was as hard as tarmac. With 56 drivers there would be 6 heats and a final, with each competitor taking part in 3 heats.
